Traveling to Rajahmundry
Rajahmundry is located on the banks of river Godavari. It is connected by trains, national highway and by air.
There are 4 bridges between Rajahmundry on East Godavari side and Kovvur on West Godavari side. The oldest one the Havlock bridge is now currently out of service. The Road-Cum-Rail bridge has been operational since 1970s. The Railway between next to the old Havlock bridge opened almost 30 years ago. The latest and the fourth bridge connect Diwan Cheruvu (before Rajahmundry main city) and Kovvur outskirts and opened 3 years ago before 2015 Pushkaralu.
Rajahmundry is considered one of the oldest cities in India and has been changed to Rajamahendravaram recently by Government of AP.
