Rajamahendravaram: Lepakshi Handicrafts and Handloom Expo will be open to the public till 10 October, in connection with Vijaya Dasami festival 2018.
The main aim of this programme is to create a market for the handloom and handicrafts products of the artisans and creative work of Indian traditional sarees and handicrafts.
Handlooms on display and sales are saris and dress material in Kalamkari, Mangalagiri, sarees of Pochampally, Venkatagiri, Gadwal, Siddipet, Chirala and Batik prints, Kalanjali, Madhurai, Bengali, cotton printed, Sambalpur, Kashmiri silk, Lucknowi chikan work, Khadi material, bed sheets, Kashmir shawls, dresses, Gagra Cholis, Khadi materials and stoles etc. available at the expo.
Handicrafts on display are Kondapally toys, Nirmal toys, Etikippaka dolls, Crochet lace, Hyderabadi pearls, artificial jewellery, metal castings, jute bags, rosewood carvings, Sharanpur wood carvings, leather wear, cotton durries, metal castings, Tanjavur paintings, Bobbili veenas, Madanapalli pottery etc, said a press release.
All the varieties are available at affordable prices under one roof. The exhibition is open to public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily on all public holidays.
